~Nature Scavenger Hunt~

~
School is out for the year and usually it
takes about a month for my girls to get restless.
Yesterday though they seemed like they
were acting kind of bored and hanging around
with me while I was trying to get my work done.
I got to thinking and wrote them out a list of things
to find in the yard. I put on it different kinds of
leaves and different items I knew were on our
property. I even added sawdust to the list
because it is in a different area then some of the
other items and well I might well keep
them busy for a bit.
There's an old saying that goes like this:
"What's time to a child"
They did not mind using there time to do this at all!
In fact they had a great time of it! All smiles and I got
about a 1/2 hour of time to do house work to boot!

Hi Ross'
What a great idea!! That will be on my list of ideas for the summer for sure!! I loved your laundry post yesterday. In fact it inspired me to bug my hubby to put up my clothesline. Now for a little more sunshine and I'm all set to go. I dislike laundry - except when I can hang it out - it smells so good when I'm folding it and it is so easy to stand there and fold it as it comes off the line. I think I may print your poem and put it on my fridge to remind me why I have so much laundry to do!! Hope you are having a great week!!
Blessings,

Hi Mom of lots,
It is good for us to remember why we have our children when we are working so hard to give them their care! I am going to sing Karoke with H on Thursday at the education center...This is another thing to help me to remember why I get to do things like this..because I love my children! She wants me to do this so badly so I will..we are singing Do Re Mi together. We went in and practiced today. You know even though I can use some down time to be here to get things done. I am going to miss you on Friday! We will have to try to have a lunch together with the kids for sure this summer, hopefully more then one! Thinking of you...Kim

Hi Lissa,
I am finding it can take some time to upload the pictures also but I am trying to find a good balance. I don't want to be on the computer all the time so I am trying to see just what works out time wise.
I am also getting faster at uploading them so that is also saving me some time. I hope your having a good evening....Love Kim
