Here is this weeks
What is it Wednesday
I would have put it at the bottom
of this post but I added the other pictures
first and don't know how to make this one go
to the bottom! I Still have a bit more to learn!
So for this week I ask What is this?
~
Do you know what this is?
Shirley and Mom of Lots you were right!
Yes, it is a nest but in such
a funny place to me!

There are many nests in the letters on this sign!
~Every time I drive by this sign I have
to smile at how these birds are
living and raising their babies within
it's letters. The birds fly in and out
over and over all day long. It took me a long time
to get a picture of one bird. I looked sort of strange
to those going in and out of the bank!
In fact an employee was looking out to see what
I was doing and started to come out towards
me to ask, then she recognized me and turned back!
I suppose not many people take pictures of their local banks,
at least no one who is up to any good!

Good day to you Ross-e
I knew that was a birds nest and where it was :o) I am glad I never got around to blogging it on my "what is it's" because your pictures of it were great...and I don't know how well I would have handled people wondering what I was up to...but then again...I'm always up for a good shot.
I think today's guess looks like ice...but I know it's not...because on our way to church on sunday I thought this was ice on the edge of the puddles...it wasn't Ice...it was cotton wood fluff :o)

Hey Ross',
Your picture of the nest in the sign reminds my of one of my favorite childhood books about a family of birds nesting in a sign in the city. I just loved that story when I was a little girl!! I love that picture of the daddy bird sitting near his nest!! I think today's photo is cottonwood fluff. I know this cause my sweet hubby just dreads this stuff when it begins flying around - he is REALLY allergic to it!! Poor guy - he ends up with his back just so sore from sneezing so much:0(!! Hope your week is going well. I'm thinking of you getting ready to sing with H. You are very brave I would not be able to do that. We are getting ready for a long weekeknd camping trip. I'm not super excited to sleep on the ground but the kids will have lots of fun!! See you later!!
Blessings,
Mom of lots
Hey! I know what all that fluff is! It is ALL OVER our yard.......the seed pods falling apart and blowing all over the place from the dang cottonwood trees........ no secret why they are called cootonwood trees, is there? Love you blog! I started one, too: squirrlyscribblings@blogspot.com

Oh, how cute! I was at a book store once and there were cones outside and a sign to tell about the goose that was sitting on a nest right in the parking lot!
Good job being persistent in getting the picture of the bird - it is so cute!
Oh - that is my biggest peeve about blogger - the image loader. I try to load my images in reverse order so they are where I want them to be. You can click on one and drag and drop them, too, but that can have its own problems too.
ps - the dewberry jam is a little bit darker than the picture made it look.
Blessings!
Shirley K :) I just saw another Shirley on your blog - cool!
Hi beanball and welcome to blog world!
